NYC ARCHIVE 013

Description
That first summer documenting NYC was the Italian Festival held on Mulberry Street. The streets were packed with sweat stained spray tans, the smell of carbonara, and freshly rolled cigars. Everybody and their "mob tied" nonno were inhabiting small corridors of asphalt corralled by "NYC's Best Cannoli" or "The Best Mortadella In The World". I was a fresh street photographer at the time, and even though I had been doing this for a while, it was my first time being in such a highly condensed area. I was letting shots fly left and right, and landed this one by utter surprise. When I got my photos back, I realized that the clown I had meant to photograph was not the only clown in the frame. As Bob Ross may say, it was a happy little accident.
